New Nominations...not sure why theres only 1 player from 1986. Before the 1984-85 Football team there hadn't been a team that went to the playoffs for some time. The school spirit was down and no one believed in the football team until then. That was a crucial time in BUC history that turned the spirit of the school around and made them believe again.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I agree with you on your assessment for 1986. There were other outstanding student/athletes during the 1986 season that brought life into Miller sporting events.
ReplyDeleteSecond Team All-State 1985-1986; All-Metro Player of the Year 1985-1986; All-District 1983-1986; Sophomore of the Year 1983-1984. All-Region 1984-1986; Team Captain 1983-1986; MVP Whataburger Classic Basketball Tournament; Participated in two All-Star games representing the South squad both times in the Texas Shootout March 1986 and the THSCA North-South Whataburger basketball game July 1986. In addition, participated in an All-Star game held in Mesa, AZ. Won Five Straight City Championships, two while attending Driscoll Junior High and three while attending Roy Miller HS.

ReplyDeleteNathaniel Nation in 1992 is missing
ReplyDeleteis there still nominations?
ReplyDeleteWhy are there no females listed??? Charlzetta West, Samine Jernigan, and Verna Hampton were all stellar academic athletes (who also cheered)!
ReplyDeleteThis list needs updating. There are close to ten females in HOF. Met several at Miller-Ray game last night that honored all HOF’ers.
