1960 state championship Buc football team truly a part of Texas Football History

We got this email from Ray Gonzalez when he visited us duringthe annual golf tournmanet. He informed us that the 1960 state championship football team is going to be honored in a Texas Football History exhibit. Enjoy!

Folks, I forgot to mention this email from Pete when I saw you this weekend. Apparently the Texas History Museum is doing an special exhibit on Texas high school football and the 1960 Miller team will be included. I exchanged email with Tom Wancho and sent him a photo taken during our quarter-final game at Buc stadium against SA Jefferson that he might include in the exhibit. The photo shows the stadium was full of fans including those seated on the bleachers on the track. Check the website below.Keno, thanks for all your help running the golf tournament. I know it was a lot of work. Our foursome had a great time and it was great a lot of the old guys that I had not seen in years. Thanks again.

We think the facts will be displayed in some written form, and Pete's 1960 State Champions purple and gold football blanket will be displayed. The grand opening will be on August 5th. We will send any further information as we get it. The notice that we are forwarding in this message is really a bare-bones introduction to the fact that it is happening.May God's grace and peace be with each of you and your families.Pete and Margaret
